Although Insomniac appears to be more loyal to its PS2 mascots than Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch, the two developers continue to pay homage to its own mascots in the form of Easter eggs and skins.įor PS2 mascots, Ratchet & Clank are an anomaly. Insomniac Games did venture out with the Resistance series and Sunset Overdrive, but it's big hit outside of Ratchet & Clank would be Marvel’s Spider-Man. Franchises like The Last Of Us and Ghost Of Tsushima even have upcoming PlayStation movies and TV shows on the way. For Naughty Dog this was with Uncharted and The Last Of Us, and for Sucker Punch, it was with Infamous and Ghost Of Tsushima. That’s what we’re concentrating on.Even though fans would love to see the return of classic characters like Jak, Daxter, and Sly, there comes a time when a developer needs to move on and explore new ideas. We like what they’ve been doing in the Spider-Man franchise, and things like Ratchet & Clank are certainly vital series in the present and future.
